I was bored the other day and decided to take my 70 paladin through stormwind
stockades (yes you have to be really bored to do this). It's a fast instance
for a 70, and a pally can do the whole place in 1 or 2 pulls. Takes longer to
loot than it does to kill.
I walked away with about a half-dozen level 18-19 greens and ... Sentry
Cloak. The Sentry Cloak fetched 250g in the AH, and some of the greens
fetched as much as 5g. Plenty of woolen cloth also dropped, which fetched a
couple gold per stack.
I've gone back a couple times, but without quite as good of luck (no more
sentry cloak drops).
Anyhow, to the point... What other instances are good for a 70 to solo farm?
The caveat is that I am *NOT* an enchanter, so BoP blues from a low level
instance are completely worthless to me.

For the 19 twink bracket, BFD and SFK have the only "Zone specific"
BOE Blue drops, and all are capable of dropping the other desirable
BOE blue world drops
For the 29s bracket, Gnomer and RFK
For 39's, it's all about Uldaman (ugh) >> Stay informed about: Best instances for a 70 to farm for profit |

SFK and WC seem to have a ton of green drops, and some of them (at
least on my server, Kul Tiras, go for ridiculous amounts in AH,
especially leather, twinks no doubt). That and SFK has the 19 twink
dagger that always seems to go for 100-150g. I've never EVER seen one
drop though, and used to farm SFK once or twice a week... >> Stay informed about: Best instances for a 70 to farm for profit |

Well, I am an enchanter so this might not help. I solo ZF with my mage at
least once a month just for the dream dust, illusion dust and s/l brilliant
shards that DE from the greens and blues. Plus, alot of mageweave and
runecloth drops from the trolls and those sell for a good price.

Even if you are not an enchanter (as is the OP's case) running ZF is good.
At least on my server, Mageweave is the cloth that is rarest in the AH and
goes for the highest prices (14g for a stack is the average; runecloth 2-3g,
netherweave 2-4g, wool & silk between 1-4g)
Besides, the BoE greens fetch some money too. And the fact that it is an
outdoor instance and allows for riding makes it quick to move through.
Cheers

Did the 2.3 patch change Stockades' loot drops? I thought Stockades
was intentionally designed to not drop any special loot (other than
from a rare spawn) to prevent too-easy farming given its location.

If you were enchanter, I would recomend you full Strat clearing. Ofc, if
your gear can handle it.
I make about 500-700g per run from shards, dust, essences, runecloth,
righteous orbs, junk, BoE blues and money drops. >> Stay informed about: Best instances for a 70 to farm for profit |

World drop still exist there, the same as everywhere else. It's still
junk for bops though, only reason to go there is if you're bored.

Honestly, I'd say you grind TBC dailies to make pure gold, and the
occasional package reward from SSO. Especially the Quel'Danas stuff,
which is densely packed and has some useful drops too (like
netherweave). Lots of fast respawning ore nodes too.
If you're looking at solo instancing clears just for fun, there's
nothing quite like protadin pulling all of Scarlet Monastery Cathedral
in one pull. The secret is lichen guard shild + shield spike +
blessing of sanctuary + reckoning + potions of swiftness to keep ahead
of the packs while you round everyone up. Consecrate, Judgement of
Light, and watch them all melt infront of you. Takes no more than 10
mins. The biggest problem I had was keeping enough bag space to hold
all the loot I would seel later. >> Stay informed about: Best instances for a 70 to farm for profit |

With my Prot Pally, I clear the front half of Strat. If your Argent
Dawn rep isnt maxed you can do that in the process just for the fun
and saying you are exalted, plus the instance drops a decent amount of
gold, runecloth, and BoE Greens.
With my Enhancement Shaman I prefer Dire Maul for farming. I get
Gromsblood and Ghost Mushrooms there which is nice for Demonslaying
Elixirs for certain Hyjal and BT bosses, and I also get alot of BoE
Greens, Runecloth, Felcloth.
My next goal is to test Ramparts with my Prot Pally to see if I can
solo that. On my former server a Hunter friend of mine would solo
Slave Pens for the Ancient Lichen. >> Stay informed about: Best instances for a 70 to farm for profit |

When I decided that all my toons had to powerlevel first aid, I
found Stocks to be a great source for the Wool phase of the
process. I cleared it several times just for the cloth.

For slave pens, at 70 you can avoid the Bogstalkers running around if
you're careful. You can pretty much walk into the first room, loot 1-2
nodes of lichen...kill 1-2 slavepens naga and then get into the bigger
room and loot another 2-4 nodes as well. Exit instance, reset, repeat.
Farmed about 30 lichen in under an hour (plus all the motes of life).
Probably still more effective to do daily quests, but I needed lichen
for fortification flasks so it was useful.
I haven't tried to solo HFP normal yet, my pally is usually geared
holy or prot (never ret), but I'm about as progressed as she'll get
with a mix of t4/t5/t6 gear w/ badge gear filling in the gaps. Should
give it a try. >> Stay informed about: Best instances for a 70 to farm for profit |

True I forgot that; I wiped out the place a few times for tailoring
skillups on alliance chars too
