Greetings,

Last night I was mining around Nagrand with my hunter when I decided
to restock with Hallani Bullets (or something)... Halaa was taken by
alliance and all guards down so I decided to hop on my epic flyer and
go straight to Halaa.

There were some fellow hordes there and while I was on the ground
waiting for capture one guy says (Hey where did you buy gold for your
epic flying mount.. give me the link).. I was shocked... I said (I
never ever buy gold... I earned every copper I have)... he was
mumbling a bit not believing that it is possible to get 6000g by
yourself... (Being a fool at gold management is your problem but
accusing me of cheating is plain rude.. so please zip the hole on your
face before i get rude). I said

He didn't say a word after that... the others however were polite
enough to ask me how I managed to save... I was glad to tell them how
I managed to gather up all that gold until we got Halaa and I got the
bullets then left the scene...

What I like about myself that even when I am angry I tend to choose my
words carefully and never ever curse or use some "F" combinations.

Anyone being rude with you like this?

I got my flying mount the evening of February 27th. I have over $3000 gold
right now. True, I had several hundred left after I bought it, but I don't
think it's going to take me weeks to get the epic.

>Anyone being rude with you like this?

Heh. The kind of rude I get is gear criticism. A very minor thing happened
a few days ago.

I was clearing an old quest line in Hellfire Peninsula with my hunter A L61
hunter asked me if I'd help him -- with the very quest I was on. Sure, I
said, I happen to be working on that myself!

After killing 2 mobs, he whispered "lol my gun is better than ur bow Razz"

I left the group. I didn't need his help; this was a low level quest for
me. I am doing these for rep. I don't know if he got anyone else to help
him, but it wasn't I. I finished easily on my own, with my lousy bow, and
he was begging for help in gen chat.

Especially early in the release of BC, seeing a few 70's in 1 week WITH an
epic mount , of course that aroused suspicion, of course everyone thought
they bought their gold. How's it possible to have so much saved? even if u
were old school and started at the beginning, hmmm.

Personally it took me 3 months and 2 days of

1) Daily quests ( 6 of em, 4 in Ogrila and 2 in terrokar) (u need an epic
for shadowmoon daileis (grrr) so they were out)
2) Flying around outlands and farming motes (Engineer with mote extractor
and goggles) and
3) Having a friend DE all the blues from Strath farming into LBS's and
finally
4) not spending anything!
feew

So yeah the question get asked. but maybe not so much now, just do as u did
and avoid a ban, be nice, who wants to lose their account anyway swearing at
noobs who mismanage their gold? u did the right thing

Cheers

Personally i lost interest in getting any lvl 60 rewards a good 4-5 months
before TBC came out so all i did every day was grind gold. I went to Outland
with over 3000g. As well as the 1000g from quests and loot at least i made
from going to 60-70 i also had over 1500g worth of disenchanted matts in the
bank from 60-70. Geting to 70 took me about 3 weeks and then over the next
few months i completed every single quest i could find in Outland which gave
me another huge wad of gold.

Some people are just lazy arogant twats unfortunatly.

Just a day or so ago I was setting waiting for the daily respawn of the
escort quest and some guy just hits me with a join group request so I asked
what he wanted 1st he told me and I accepted his request, well I clicked on
the quest and took it, U would of thought the world was coming to a end, I
was a f'in idiot a moron and a few more nasty words and was kicked from the
group, now I was all set to do this quest by myself as i try to do it
everyday and was going to help the guy out that invited me to group. I was
the 1st one there so the quest was mine to begin with but these poor lost
souls had me being a redheaded step child for doing what i was about to do
before the request to group came to me, they said they where not all there
yet, now how am I to know this.. well they where so mad they keep sending
me little nasty whispers and had the nerve to put me on Ignore, so I could
not give them my side of the story, ppl like this should be ban from the
game, and from now on I will do it by myself as I have been doing it.

FYI I still complete the quest without them and they had to wait for the
respawn which I found a little enjoyment from that, but the cussing I took
makes me bitter about joining groups...

Another thing is that when more info about tbc was starting to get out some
players started to hoard the materials needed to level jewelcrafting. It used
to be around around 50 silver for a stack of copper ore before (If I recall
correctly, way under 1 gold at least) on my server, and at the early days
of tbc it was around 6-10g per stack. And if I understand correctly getting
jewelcrafting leveled fast and nabbing few of the more desirable gem cuts
was almost a license to print money as the market for the cut gems was insane.

So, I'm not really wondering that few people had enough money for epic mounts.
Naturally few of them could well be goldbuyers too.

Speaking of licenses to print money, everyone should be sure to list
their accumulated Arcanite on AH before 2.4 if it looks like the PTR
notes hold up.

No clue what other servers get for them, but on Exodar they are around
15g a pop.

Arcanite transmutation has no cooldown on PTR.

Really? That's great news! Now my Shaman can make those bars for my
BE Pally for the L60 mount quest -- yay, one money and time sink gone!

Thanks for the good news on an otherwise-lousy Monday morning Smile

Take it and run,
