Getting gold in WoW is a very important factor in the game. It's
almost like having a second job at times, lol. Wouldn't it be nice to
just have a decent amount of gold flowing in without much effort?
I've been posting to my blog with tips I've learned over the last year
to get gold. It's not some "make uber goldz fast" site. Just some
random tips I've found to work. Feel free to check it out.

Great tips!
One other thing that helped me keep up the balance of my gold early on
levelling was to not hesitate to spend for larger bags. Having the
ability to pick up all trash (gray) loot and vendoring it quickly will
bring more gold than that spent on the bags to accomodate it. >> Stay informed about: World of Warcraft Gold Tips |

I use all traveler's bags, giving me 80 slots per toon (except hunter,
who has to use one quiver). I auto-loot everything, and vendor it when
I reach a vendor (I use autoprofit addon to make that automatic). As you
say, the bags pay for themselves long before I reach 30, with the rest
just being pure profit.
I also give every one of my toons skinning. Easiest way to make
consistent money throughout the game I have found.

I also get all of my new toons 16-slot bags right at the start. Not only
can they keep all the stuff that mobs drop, they can stay out longer and
grind for XP or run quests before having to head into a city or town to
unload the junk at the vendor.
Additionally, I sell anything that another player can use for something on
the AH.

Yeah, I was thinking that one big ommsion from that blog was the mention
of bankers. They are pretty important to making gold in WoW. I send
everything to my banker whenever I near a mailbox (after vendoring the
grey stuff). Then twice a week I log on with my banker and let him
auction everything off.
BTW, my banker on 3 servers are all named AH...

Since TBC got released, the best way to make money on a new char would
be to pick up mining. On my recently started BE Hunter, my Copper Ores
have been selling steadily for 2g50s a stack. She made about 35g now,
and she is level 20. I remember leveling my tailoring/enchanting
warlock, who had his first piece of gold by level 17... >> Stay informed about: World of Warcraft Gold Tips |

I skin and mine. I've made more money skinning than minning. I mean
just follow a toon around who kills and doesen't skin. Before lvl 40
(which means I don't remember) I was lvl 300 in skinning. Then I
started getting rugged leather. >> Stay informed about: World of Warcraft Gold Tips |

That was certainly true when TBC first came out. On my servers though,
the price of ore has tanked in recent weeks. I suspect that jewler's
peak has passed for now.

Still is high on my server, my poor blacksmith is faced with 2g for a stack
of 20 tin (either ores or bars), and I need it to make bronze, so need
tcopper as well. The JC peak has dropped, in that gems are no longer really
silly money, but prices are still on the high side.

Do you get a benefit from smelting your own bronze? I ask because I had an
auction for a stack of bronze fail over the weekend--and I didn't price it
as high as the 'high end' sellers.

You get skillpoints from it longer than from copper or tin, but not really
much benefit, it's just cheaper smelting my own when I have one of the
ingredients in stock than buying it ready-made.
