Ooh, interesting guide, fun to read as I used trolls in the Blizz
levelling contest a while back (levelled four of them to 25, and have
done a fair bit of research so I can do better if there's a similar
contest in the future), so did the same zones. A few points I'd like
to make though...
Vanquish the Betrayers at lvl 6? Seriously, that is not conducive to
fast levelling, save it till 7 or 8 - yeah most the mobs are green by
then but getting to the named guy inside the keep is tough, and he
always brings an add (and he's lvl 8 if I remember right). And if the
silver elite is in there as well, it's even tougher. Yes, it's
possible, but it requires burning a few consumables and there's a high
enough chance of death that it's more efficient to leave it a level or
two.
Dark Storms I skip altogether, wasted too much time on it with my
first character and decided it was more efficient to just grind a
little or do other quests. Dying is not an efficient use of time, and
there's too many casters in that little camp

Might be different
for other classes, of course, I was using rogues. I realise it leads
onto a chain for decent exp but it's still too much hassle imo.
Best way to get through the teens in my experience is go to the place
where Echeyakee is summoned. Note the lions there, which there seems
to be a never-ending stream of? There's two, and they respawn once a
minute or so. Easy easy grinding, can level from 11 or 12 to 16 on
them (at 16 they go grey), in a matter of few hours, plus get plenty
of loot for quick money. Boring maybe, but makes it easier to only do
the easier quests later and not need to waste time on the tougher ones
which lose more time with dying.
Harpies I skip altogether, because of that annoying elite wandering
around - I always spend too much time watching where she is and not
enough killing, otherwise I waste time running back to my corpse.
I actually *do* Hezrul Bloodmark, it's tough but it's a ring with
agility on, so great for a rogue - however with jewelcrafting coming
up it might as well be skipped, should there be another levelling
contest I'd skill up jewelcrafting to make rings anyway. (Yeah,
professions sound a waste of time, but just gathering stuff while
questing doesn't take much extra time, and havng decent crafted gear
to wear makes a lot of difference on an empty server with no AH goods
available - it's not like I fly back for training al the time, I just
put everything in the mail to a bank alt who's parked next to the
trainer - plus when levelling multiple characters it becomes a lot
more efficient than when only levelling one

)
You can do Echeyakee way before where you've got it, I normally do him
while I'm grinding his lowbie friends at his summoning spot, maybe
about lvl 14 or so
The bit where you've got Wailing caverns or grind to 20, is where I'm
still finishing lower level quests, having ground out the lower levels
on lions, works better for me. Plus I also have the grimtotem quests
from stonetalon to do, and I tend to kill spiders there as well before
20. I skip the Northwatch quests altogether.
Everything you have from lvl 21 onwards I skip and go to Hillsbrad - I
pick up the various quests to take messages there, then do the ones to
kill bears and spiders, and then all the ones for Durnholde keep. This
takes me to about 23 and I tend to just grind from there to 25,
Durnholde is great for grinding, as are the many lions and bears in
the fields.
Obviously my path isn't going up to 60 but it's interesting to see the
differences, I'll take note of a few suggestions from your path for if
I ever do any powerlevelling again, as some of your things save a bit
of time over mine
