Actually, I was healbot specced while we collected zaxxis tokens. I
just ran around SW:Paining everything in range so they'd be *our*
mobs, and would gather together for you lot to kill them while I just
stood around healing. Mostly myself admittedly.

Haha that sounds like the priest I grouped with on my rogue for a bit of
ogre farming a couple of times... pull a load of mobs, and I'm madly trying
to get aggro off him while he's having to do a lot of self-healing Wink

The big trick to sporregar rep is sanguine hibiscus. You turn in 5 at a
time for something like 850 rep each. A druid guildie tells me that a
number of them can be reached by stealth in the underbog - I keep meaning
to try that with my rogue.

You can also buy them from the auction house for not all that much gold - I
picked up 20 of them for 15g when I wanted to rush my paladin to honored so
that he could get the shield, which is damn nice for tanking I must say. *

Ooh, thanks for the tip, I'll be looking for Sporeggar rep for my pally
when she gets high enough, that should come in handy!

If it's just two of you, it can actually work quite well. The priest
just keeps a Prayer of Mending up at all times. The non-priest peels
a mob off to kill, so that one's damaging him while the others are
still damaging the priest. That keeps the PoM bouncing back and
forth. The occasional shield on the priest if needed to wait out the
PoM cooldown. That'll be like 6000 healing for something like 300 to
400 mana. Though a lot of over healing could occur.

I looked at doing that but the drop rate, according to thottbot, is
about 30% so you'd need to kill 30 or 40 of them for 750 rep. You
only need to kill 24 Nagas for the 750 rep and the Nagas have the
advantage of being in a camp where you'd need to find Spore Bats and
Fen Striders. (ok - they are not hard to find but they aren't in a
big camp like the Nagas). The biggest winner for me though was the
fact that the Nagas were a certain 24 kills where a streak of bad luck
could really slow things down with the spores.

P.S. I'm at revered now and have the transmute. I'm not going to
grind for exalted for the potion for a while (maybe I'll try the
stealthing in underbog trick though and see how that works)

I found it easier to collect fertile spores instead. Each stack of 10
is worth 750 base rep and they drop pretty regularly from (Mature)
Spore bats and Fen striders.
