I just got my toon's tailoring skill up enough to start using Mageweave and
Runcloth. Now I need a spot with a good drop rate where I can farm them.
Can anyone recommend a few spots on either continent where I can farm
Mageweave and Runcloth (lvl 53 Mage)?

Furlbogs in Felwood. Also grinds rep which is useful for a couple
quests. The North camp might be a little tough at your level though,
and the south one doesn't drop runecloth much. Actually the jadenar
would be ok too, you're looking for any humanoids lvls 50-55 basically.

Also, this suggestion isn't grinding so it gives no XP. But if you're 125
or more fishing, go up and down the coast of Stranglethorn Vale looking for
floating wreckage and fish for trunks of stuff. I get several bolts of
mageweave and runecloth each time around the coast. If you're 150-200
fishing it help to bring worms or baubles.

pretty much everything except the wolves bears and slimes in felwood.
the satyrs drop it (and are a quest mob plus drop felcloth), furbologs
(quest mob/faction mob), jaednar (humanoids mostly casters).

Mageweave - good spots are the ghosts in azshara near the alliance FP, or
the non-elite trolls in the ruins of hinterlands. The wastewander bandit
camps in Tanaris are not bad either, IIRC.

Runecloth - undead in WPL/EPL. If you're 53, you should be able to handle
some of the cauldron fields in WPL. Those are a good place to farm
runecloth, as a side benefit you gain AD faction as well while doing it.

Off the top of my head:

Mageweave - The Pirate Cove in Tanaris. Good grind spot.
Runecloth - Sorrow Hill, WPL. Again good grind spot.

For mageweave I have just grinded with my mage at the Woodpaws in Feralas,
they also had a decent droprate of Mageweave.

Didn't see this mentioned before ... but the harpies in Ferelas drop
lots of mageweave and hardly anyone farms there.
