I have a 70 hunter, equipped on the low end of things...but, not horrible.
As usual, Im broke again. I seem to be supporting my 53 rogue, and my
fiance's clan of characters.
Im an alchemist/miner.
It seems the best I can do with farming, is over in Nagrand, farming the
water elementals and the motes.
I can do maybe 2 primal waters per half hour (and thats doing well), a few
trash greens, and some ore from the nodes that appear in the lake.
On my server, that means about 30 to 40 gold, per half hour.
Conservatively, I always figure on about 50 to 60 per hour.
How do you folks do, when you go farming? Collecting? Tradeskilling?

I used to farm Primals as well, but it was so boring I just stopped
with it and consumed my money reserve. Recently I got in the ban of
Daily quests. They are fun to do, and once you get the hang of it, you
can net about 100g in 1h30min playing time (quest reward money +
average drop sell-off). Most (if not all) guildies use this as their
mean to farm money. >> Stay informed about: Farming rates? |

What you might consider doing is dropping mining and picking up
herbalism. It would be a pain to level herbalism from 1 to 375, but
then you can go out and collect mats for alchemy and sell thouse.
Some of the higher end potions and elixir's sell well, and doing a
transmute for someone whenever the cooldown is up is a good way to get
a little extra.
You didn't mention fishing. Ever see those pools of pure water? If
you fish form those, you get motes of water. Makes it even easier to
get the Primal Waters.
Cooking has come into its own with all the new food buffs. Warp
burgers sell very well and only requires warp stalker meat, which you
can farm very easily in Terokkar.
Don't limit yourself to only 1 way of making money when there are lots
of other ways to do it. >> Stay informed about: Farming rates? |

2 best cash makers in BC currently are Enchanting (disenchanting) and
Primal farming. Best primals to farm (at least on the servers I play
on) Primal air/Mana. Best places to farm them Kirin'tor for Mana's
and SMV near the netherwing area for Air's. these average 30g+ on any
of the servers I play on and I have yet to hear of them going for less
then 20g on any server. On a good farming night I can average about 5
an hr or so (I roll a Kara geared rogue, PVP geared Huntard).
Enchanting is by farm my favorite though, easy not to time consuming
and the dusts/essences are FREE to list in the AH WOO. I just check
the AH for what's got the biggest mark up. Then go farm an instance
for greens/blues to DE. Either character can Solo anthing up to LBRS,
and I have always have a farming buddy who can come with me on
whatever server i'm on and my best yet is a Duo of Slavepens. If
duoing we DE everything and either split the mats if he/she needs some
chant or split the profits after selling. FYI high end materials
aren't always the best money. I can make about 400g+- off of a full
clear/lockout on SM Deing every drop. the lowbie mats sell for great
money and people still love that fiery chant. Did I mention that the
AH DOES NOT CHARGE for you to list these? Well it doesn't. >> Stay informed about: Farming rates? |

I mine adamantite ore and sell in on the AH. 30g+ a stack.
Eternium and Khorium are 7g a bar.
Fel Iron Ore is 12g a stack.
Primal Earth is 4g
Primal Fire is 27g
Doesn't take long to make a decent wedge in Nagrand. Maybe 200-300 an
hour with a nomal mount. More if you have an Epic. >> Stay informed about: Farming rates? |

Money has been my biggest frustration. Been getting better at it
though. I have leatherworking/skinning. If i had to do it all over, I
would have done 2 collecting professions. The leather from skinning
(or even leather scraps) sells for more than anything you can make
from it.
Another thing to learn is first aid. Bandages get good prices at
vendors. You get a lot of bandage material just doing quests.
Also commodities trading gets me a good bit of money. Often someone
will flood the market with low priced leather (< 1/2/ the going rate).
I'll buy them out and resell a little at a time for a higher price. On
our server, it's either feast or famine with knothide leather. At
times there are 20 stacks selling for 5G each. Other times 1 stack (or
no stacks) selling a 20g. >> Stay informed about: Farming rates? |

I did very nice money with LW, pre BC doing devilsaur set and selling for
80G for set, and now you can do armor kilts. >> Stay informed about: Farming rates? |
