I think it was "Bjarne" that wrote something like...

Nagrand, near that big Oshu crystal place.

>10 mote of life

Withered bog lords, etc in NE Zangermarsh

>10 mote of water

The eel's in the lake just east of Shatt or in the waters just below
Halaa in Nagrand.

>10 mote of mana

Unbound dudes at Bash'irs Landing in Northern BEM if you have a mount
(or are willing to die in the right place and rez at the spirit healer
up there) otherwise mobs in Netherstorm. Either SE island or just
north of Area 52.

>20 mote of fire

Centre of Shadowmoon Valley.

That's where I do my shopping.

When you get a flying mount you can go to Skettis in Terokkar
Forest for the motes of water and the Elemental Plateau in Nagrand
for motes of fire (this place can be quite crowded though). Motes
of mana I farm north of Area 52 in Netherstorm. I have no need for
the rest on your list so don't know any good spots for them.

Even worse if you're stupid like me and make a whole Frozen
Shadowweave set only to decide 2 weeks later "You know - I wanna spec
fire.". Just finished up on my Spellfire set last night. I already
had pretty decent pieces for all the slots that would have been used
by Spellfire so there was no big rush, but I am glad to be done.

Of course NOW, I need to make my Spellstrike Hood. Again, I've got
the Wicked Witches Hat already so I'm not too bad off, but since I
have the legs already the set bonus would be quite nice to have. I
really have to watch it though. I've been stacking so much damage
lately that my intellect is taking a hit. At the rate I'm going I'm
going to be one mean DPS machine but with 7000 buffed mana Very Happy.

I think the voidwalker-type mobs near Oshugun in Nagrand could be good for
this. Not entirely sure as I haven't needed to get them; still got loads in
the bank from when they dropped off all demons.

>10 mote of life

Giants in the Dead Mire in Zangarmarsh - if you're a herbalist you get
about double the droprate.

>10 mote of water

If you can fish (need over 300 skill + lures), go and find pure water
pools, the elemental plateau in Nagrand has a few spawns of them. If not,
then the water elementals up there have a good droprate but lousy respawn
rate (and are often farmed), the elementals up at Skettis are meant to be
quite good, and there's also some in Shadowmoon valley which have lower
droprate but respawn very fast, so are usually my choice - they also don't
need a flying mount to reach while the others do.

>10 mote of mana

Wizard Row at Kirin'var in Netherstorm. Beware that these mobs aren't very
caster friendly; I farm them with my rogue Wink

>20 mote of fire

Shadowmoon Valley is the best place I've found for this - it will be
heavily farmed by other people but so are the other farming spots, and as a
caster you can at least pull the ones out of the lava with a lot less
trouble than melee or hunters have.

It does take time, yes; I have three tailors and a couple of tailoring
friends helping me with transmutes so I can work on my lock's gear and I
spend ages farming the primals every few days.

As has been said, farming the guys over by Oshu'gun in Nagrand is a
good source for this.

> 10 mote of life

I have a good method of "farming" primal life - I transmute it from
primal earth Smile. Takes a few days, but it's cheaper and being a
transmute specialist means that I sometimes get free primals. If I
really need it quick though, the Dead Mire giants drop a good ammount
of it, and I get a decent amount of them just when farming mats for
potions.

> 10 mote of water

The lake in front of the Throne of Elements in Nagrand. Locks are
great to farm here (or so I'm told by a friend with a lock), but on my
mage I just take in a Hydrocane from Gnomer and use that for
underwater breathing Smile.

> 10 mote of mana

My only two characters high enough to farm these guys are a mage and a
resto druid (who has a very nice caster gear set to use when
soloing). Both are essentially casters and have big issues with these
guys. I usually buy my primal mana's. I do have a hunter that is now
level 66 but I'm not sure how hard it is for hunters to farm the motes
of mana.

> 20 mote of fire

Again, when I need fire I usually transmute it from primal mana (and
the primal mana I usually buy), but when I've needed to farm it I
usually farm in northern BEM. Kinda hard to farm as a fire mage but I
usually just use frost or arcane spells and can do alright.

Also, though you didn't mention it, the Altar of Shadows in Shadowmoon
Valley is a very nice place to farm motes of air.
